NATURAL LAW

How are we doing as far as abiding by natural law?
A List:

FIAT MONEY: Its value is declared and controlled by law; not by supply and demand. Note that the value of the money varies with both the supply and demand of the money and with the goods and services the money is used to purchase.

If the government had “self control” fiat money would meet requirements of natural law.

The big problem is that the congress is on a perpetual money spending binge, they print money at will and they provide for the creation of money out of nothing causing inflation of the money supply.

I believe that it is a “violation of Natural Law;” it is unethical to print money out of nothing. Inflation of the money supply is also a “violation of Natural Law.”

INTEREST RATES: Per current design The Federal Reserve “dictates” interest rates. Natural law would allow the market to control interest rates.

BAIL OUTS: A bailout happens where a company is about to go broke and cannot meet its payroll. A bailout is a violation of natural law; and it tends to reward irresponsibility.

Hardships to people happen if a company is not bailed out and the persons involved can be seriously hurt. When the government bails out a company it hurts all of the people of the country.

SUBSIDIES: Same answer as for bailouts. Subsidies also are a violation of natural law.

WAGE AND PRICE CONTROLS: This is an attempt to control supply and demand. It is a violation of natural law.

MINIMUM WAGE: A violation of natural law. We must repeal the federal minimum wage law. Natural law would promote the idea of full employment and would enhance our ability to balance our imports with our exports.

MEDICARE, MEDICAID, THE AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE ACT (aka Obama Care): These are all violations of natural law and all should be repealed.

SOCIAL SECURITY: Another violation of natural law. With sound money most persons can save money in their own bank account and out perform Social Security. Sorry, but we must first restore sound money in order for self savings to work.
